Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure where small holes are created across the superficial layer of the skin while keeping the deeper layers of epidermis partially intact. This produces microchannels that increase skin permeability and stimulate growth factor release, which helps to create more collagen and elastin to keep skin smooth and firm. Since the epidermis is retained, microneedling has less risk of infection, postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, and scarring compared to other resurfacing modalities.
